LCD screens usually have reflection mode, full reflection mode and semi-reflection mode. What are the differences and how to choose them?

Reflection mode: the lower polarizer is opaque, so it can't be used for backlight. It is only suitable for daytime or external light sources. The advantage is that the contrast is higher; Full penetration mode: the transmittance is about 40% and must be used with backlight ( Otherwise you will see the components or PCB under the screen)The advantage is that the backlight brightness is high; Semi-transparent mode: Between the reflection and full-transparent mode, the transmittance is about 30%, whether it is connected to the backlight can be used, it is more flexible, the disadvantage is that the cost will be higher.
