When this kind of module is used, in addition to paying attention to the precautions in the use of general liquid crystal display devices, the following matters should also be paid attention to during assembly and use.
1. Handle the protective film, and attach it to the surface of the finished LCD Display device of the installed module-
Layer protective film to prevent the display surface from being stained during assembly, and shall not be removed before the Assembly of the whole machine is finished, so as not to stain or stain the display surface.
2. Add a pad. It is best to add a pad between the module and the front panel. A pad of about 1mm.
The panel should also be kept absolutely flat to ensure that no twisting force is generated after assembly and to improve the anti-vibration performance.
3. the control and drive circuits in the strict anti-static module are low-voltage and micro-power CMOS circuits, which are easily broken down by static electricity, while the human body sometimes generates high-voltage static electricity up to tens or hundreds of volts. Therefore, be extremely careful in operation, assembly, and use, and be strict with anti-static.
To this end: Do not touch the outer lead, the circuit on the circuit board and the metal frame by hand.
If direct contact is necessary, the human body and the module should be kept at the same potential, or the human body should be well grounded.
Soldering iron used for welding must be well grounded and free from leakage.
Tools such as electric screwdrivers for operation must be well grounded and free from leakage.
Do not use a vacuum cleaner for cleaning. Because it produces strong static electricity.
When the air is dry, static electricity will also be generated. Therefore, the humidity in the workshop should be above RH60 %.
Resistance contact should be formed between the ground, Workbench, Chair, shelf, cart and tools to keep them at the same potential, otherwise static electricity will also be generated.
Take extra care when taking out or putting back the bag or moving it, and do not generate static electricity. Do not change the packaging or discard the original packaging.
Electrostatic breakdown is an irreparable damage, so be careful.
4. Precautions during assembly operation the module is carefully designed and assembled. Do not process or trim it yourself.
The metal frame claws shall not be twisted or disassembled at will.
Do not modify the shape of the PCB board, Assembly holes, circuits and components. Do not modify the conductive strip. Do not modify any internal brackets.
Do not touch, fall, fold, twist the module. 5.
Welding, when soldering the outer lead of the module and the interface circuit, the operation shall be carried out according to the following procedures. The welding head temperature is less than 280oC. Welding time is less than 3 ~ 4 S.
Welding material: eutectic, low melting point. Do not use acidic flux.
Do not repeat welding more than 3 times, and each repeat should be separated by 5 minutes.
6. Module use and maintenance when the module is connected to the power supply and disconnected, it must be in the positive power supply (5 ± 0. 25 V)After the stable connection, the signal level can be input.
If the signal level is input before the power supply is stably connected or disconnected, the integrated circuit in the module will be damaged and the module will be damaged.
The Dot Matrix module is a high-path liquid crystal display device, and the contrast and viewing angle during Display are closely related to temperature and driving voltage.
Therefore, Vee should be adjusted to the best contrast and viewing angle.
If Vee is adjusted too high, it will not only affect the display, but also shorten the life of the liquid crystal display device.
When the lower limit of the specified working temperature range is used, the display response is slow, while when the upper limit of the specified working temperature range is used, the entire display surface will turn black again, which is not damaged, just restore the specified temperature range and everything will return to normal.
Pressing the display part hard will produce an abnormal display.
At this time, the power supply is cut off and re-connected to return to normal.
When the surface of the liquid crystal display device or module is foggy, do not power on, because this will cause chemical reaction of the electrode and cause disconnection.
When used in sunlight and strong light for a long time, the covered part will produce residual images. 7. Module storage, if long-term (Such as a few years or more)
For storage, we recommend the following methods: loading polyethylene pockets (Best have anti-static coating)And seal the mouth. In-10 ~ Stored between 35 °c. Put it in the dark and avoid strong light.
Never put anything on the surface.
Strictly avoid storage under extreme temperature/humidity conditions.
When it must be stored under special conditions, it can also be stored at 40 ℃, 85% RH, or 60 ℃, less than 60% RH, but it should not exceed 168 hours.
